Report Launch and Panel Discussion “I Was Tricked into the War”: The Risk of Trafficking and Coerced Recruitment of Bangladeshi Men into Russia’s War in Ukraine

A new report by Fortify Rights and Truth Hounds examines how Bangladeshi men have been deceived, coerced, and trafficked into the Russian Armed Forces amid Russia’s ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine.

The report calls on the government of Bangladesh to prioritize ending trafficking abuse, dismantle trafficking syndicates, support survivors and their families, and condemn Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and its unlawful recruitment of foreign fighters.

The report will be available in English and Bangla. The launch event will feature an in-person press conference and panel discussion.
